The launch of A New Zealand Diary – Living in Lyttelton

Excuse the poor photographs taken by me: the official photographer was having too much fun!

Thank you to everyone who came to the launch of A New Zealand Diary – Living in Lyttelton at The Commoners yesterday evening. It was better than I could have imagined. Everyone seemed to have a good time, even me, though the whole thing was a blur from about 5 pm to 6:30. Amanda did a stellar job behind the bar and my tab just about lasted!. The food went down well, and we had some fun entries for the ship naming competition (Shippy McShipface won, mainly because I didn’t have a say).

Thank you also to everyone who bought books, calendars and cards. There aren’t many left, but what remains will be sold through Paul Leslie‘s Bookshop just off London Street.

More photos below.

It was a truly brilliant event for me: the support from my community means a lot to me as an independent author and illustrator.
